How do I learn to scuba dive?

Learning to scuba dive is simpler and more achievable than most people think.

You’ll start with a bit of theory (it’s fun, promise). You’ll cover diving physics (hello, Mr. Boyle), your equipment, and how to read ocean conditions so you know when it’s safe to dive. Then you’ll practice essential skills like descending, clearing your mask, recovering your regulator, and floating effortlessly, learning to relax and enjoy every breath underwater. You’ll finish with two open water dives in the ocean to bring it all together.

Your certification is valid worldwide and never expires. With just two more training days, you can upgrade to Open Water Diver and dive independently almost anywhere in the world.

How long does it take to learn to dive?

If you’re just curious and want to get a feel for it, our beginner scuba experience (DSD) takes about 4 to 5 hours. If you’re ready to get certified, the Scuba Diver course is usually around two days. And if you want the full beginner certification, Open Water Diver typically takes a few days, depending on the schedule and conditions.

How hard is it to learn to scuba?

Do I need to be an experienced swimmer?
